The International Conference on System Science and Engineering 2024 (ICSSE 2024) is a global event scheduled to be held at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan from June 26 to June 28, 2024. This conference presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals, including scientists, engineers, and practitioners hailing from diverse corners of the globe, to showcase cutting-edge system design concepts, research findings, advancements, and practical applications. Furthermore, it aims to foster meaningful interactions and collaborations between scholars and professionals.
ICSSE 2024 will be a hybridconference (for oversea particpants) that will run fully in-person and fully virtually to take advantage of the best that the two modalities can offer. Besides, it will includes plenary lectures, regular paper presentations, and poster sessions.

System Science and Engineering represents a burgeoning field of study encompassing a wide array of contemporary technologies. In essence, a system can be perceived as an assemblage of various components and their interconnected relationships, amalgamated to form a holistic entity that transcends the sum of its constituent parts. This paradigm also extends to encompass human beings, organizations, cultures, activities, and the intricate web of relationships that bind them together. While the concept of systems comprised of self-sustaining subsystems is not novel, the escalating density of data, pervasive connectivity, and the ubiquitous availability of computational resources have magnified the intricacies and interdependencies inherent in such systems. Consequently, the task of conceiving, developing, and deploying complex systems, which was already formidable, has become even more formidable.
The march of technological progress not only presents opportunities for enhancing the capabilities of systems but also introduces a host of developmental risks that demand careful consideration and management. Thus, our primary objective is to convene experts from diverse domains to provide a platform for robust discussions, practical demonstrations, and the exchange of research insights within the expansive domain of system science and engineering.
Organized sessions are also welcomed and incorporated into the ICSSE 2024 program to broaden the scope and promote participation. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. In addition to the best conference papers and best student papers awards, selected papers of ICSSE 2024 will be recommended to rewrite and then submit to special issues of three SCI-E indexed journals- International Journal of Fuzzy Systems (IJFS), Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers (JCIE) or Journal of Marine Science and Technology (JMST). Details please see the “Special Issue“.
